I can't comment on in-restaurant experience, because I've always ordered delivery... but it's a dependably good pizza. Well-balanced ingredients, good crust with actual pizza crust flavor, good sauce. I've had a few not-great (at ALL) pizzas from around town lately - not national chain predictable mediocrity. These guys and ladies are doing an above-decent job.
I recommend it, I am a regular customer of Beaverton and I decided to go to the rest on Fremont Street and the difference for me is the distance but the flavor, the customer service, everything to the maximum..
This is a solid pizza place with full pies at a decent price. I called ahead and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes. It was fresh and looked pretty good all around. The crust is thick on the end, but not too deep on the slice. The flavor is decent overall, but nothing over the top. This is a pizza most adults and kids would enjoy. The price is right!
The food? Solid, traditional pizza that's almost always on time, but it's the people that make this place special. All of the employees have made every visit a positive experience and Erik, in particular, always remembers me and seems excited I've stopped by. He's genuinely one of the kindest and most friendly people working restaurants in the city and that just seems to be the general vibe here. You really can't go wrong with this place and if you're really hungry they make enormous 26" pizzas which may be the largest pies I've ever seen anyone make.
I was visiting this cool NE neighborhood and dropped in for a slice of pizza and a cold caffeinated drink. The pizza was tasty, especially the crust, which is my way of measuring quality pizza - they hit the mark. They have a small bar seating area facing the street that was comfortable, especially since behind the seating area is a lot of cool pop art by the local Portland artist @acetroy. I made a purchase of a Wes Anderson inspired piece of art from Wes Anderson's movie "The Darjeeling Limited ". Service was good too.
With a 26" cheese pizza (yes you read that right) for basically $20, Pizza Nostra is Portland's best value to feed a crowd, and guess what - it's actually delicious! They slice that size up into party squares so all you have to do is drop it on the table and let the crowd descend. If you do get toppings (like the excellent 'Fremont' with sausage and mushrooms) you'll discover it's actually fresh and not some gross institutional crumble. There's fancier pizza in this town, sure, but Pizza Nostra isn't looking for that kind of attention. It's just good food at a good price point, run by some good people, and I hope we keep them in business for a good long time.
I got exposed to this Halal pizza by friends. I definitely Will be eating here more often. Pizza was on point and the quality was great. I want to make sure I visit and order something from the menu on my own. Definitely make sure you experience it.
